What is a HETA Apprenticeship?
All of our apprentices work
towards a new Apprenticeship Standard.
They spend their first year in
the training centre completing a wide range of generic engineering practical
skills and a Level 3 Technical Certificate.
Students with an employer/sponsor
then spend Years 2 and 3 on-site within a company completing a competency log
working towards passing their End Point Assessment which determines competence
and is the final stage of the Apprenticeship Standard.
Students may have the opportunity
to enrol on to a HNC or other Higher Education course from Year 2 onwards.
What is a Traineeship?
A Traineeship guarantees you a
place at the HETA training centre in September.
It is an unpaid opportunity where
you will attend the training centre for a minimum period of 6 months before the
chance of progressing on to an Apprenticeship. (We can support individuals with

you an employer or sponsor; while this cannot be guaranteed, our track record
is very successful – last year 9 out of 10 of our Trainees went directly into
