HETA Application Form 2021/22

We are currently welcoming applications for Apprenticeship and Traineeship opportunities at our sites in Hull, Scunthorpe and Stallingborough.

What is a HETA Apprenticeship?

All of our apprentices work towards a new Apprenticeship Standard.

They spend their first year in the training centre completing a wide range of generic engineering practical skills and a Level 3 Technical Certificate.

Students with an employer/sponsor then spend Years 2 and 3 on-site within a company completing a competency log working towards passing their End Point Assessment which determines competence and is the final stage of the Apprenticeship Standard.

Students may have the opportunity to enrol on to a HNC or other Higher Education course from Year 2 onwards.

What is a Traineeship?

A Traineeship guarantees you a place at the HETA training centre in September.

It is an unpaid opportunity where you will attend the training centre for a minimum period of 6 months before the chance of progressing on to an Apprenticeship. (We can support individuals with transport costs.)

You will undertake training in General Engineering Maintenance and Design.

HETA will work with you to find you an employer or sponsor; while this cannot be guaranteed, our track record is very successful – last year 9 out of 10 of our Trainees went directly into employment.

You will also be provided with information, advice and guidance on employability skills to help you when seeking employment.
